Our Aims
& Objectives

The Worimi Local Aboriginal Land Council (WLALC) operates under the NSW Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983 and follows the Community Land & Business Plan (2021–2026).

Our main goal is to support the wellbeing of all Aboriginal people within our council area. We are committed to strong leadership, sustainable development  and positive change across our community.

We work in partnership with organisations across education, employment, culture, tourism and land management to open up opportunities for our Members, Youth and Elders. These collaborations extend our reach locally, statewide, and beyond, building long-term benefits.

We proudly partner with:

• Job network providers

• Training organisations

• Cultural and language groups

• Tourism operators

• Land and heritage agencies

These partnerships extend WLALC’s reach beyond the local Port Stephens area, into statewide, national, and international networks, creating long-lasting and impactful outcomes.
